Domains of activity: arts and culture.
Formally established as a Foundation (international organisation under the Dutch law) in Geneva, 1954.
Mission: The European Cultural Foundation initiates and supports cultural expression and interaction that empower people to realise a shared future in Europe. We enable voices that are too often unheard to be heard. We link inspirational people and ideas to cultural policy making both in local communities and on the European political stage.
Membership in other European networks: European Foundation Centre (EFC), Network of European innovative foundations (NEF), Hague Club.
Collaboration with organisations in other European countries: partners and grantees in wider Europe and the southern area (European Neighbourhood).
Interest/involvement in European and EU political matters: ECF aims to put culture higher on the EU agenda and develop partnerships with European actors to advance the European project.
