Associazione Culturale Fabbrica Europa
Domains of activity: arts and culture, youth, migration.
Formally established as a Cultural association in Florence, Italy in 2002.
Mission: Fabbrica Europa is a laboratory for the development of collaboration and experimentation in the contemporary arts field in Europe. Its mission is to be a space of production, exchange and professional development for European artists and cultural operators. It fosters the mobility of artists and art-works and promotes understanding of cultural diversity through a dialogue between different forms of thought and ways of expression.
Membership in other European networks: International Network for Contemporary Performing Arts (IETM) and Roots&Routes International.
Collaboration with organisations in other European countries: Bearing Europe in its name, Fabbrica Europa's dimension is based on Europe-wide cooperation and networking, both in the festival activity and in special projects. It has developed a powerful network of partners, aimed at creative exchange, artistic production and (inter)cultural circulation, that reaches across Europe and its edges, with particular regard to the South coast of the Mediterranean and the Western Balkans.
Interest/involvement in European and EU political matters: Fabbrica Europa has received a lot of support from the European Commission, thinks and works in a European dimension and is therefore interested in keeping up-to-date with EU matters and politics.
